I’m just here to say the room got quieter every time a man tried to sound important.
The room got quieter because you all insist on mistaking volume for civilization.
I said America was in love with a lie and suddenly every gentleman with a microphone wanted a rebuttal.
Both of you are making this look like a literary knife fight in a dinner jacket.
Of course I’m winning, I came prepared and y'all arrived with pamphlet energy.
James, you are absolutely winning this by sounding prettier than both of us have ever been.
You do enjoy turning every sentence into an opera, James.
And yet the bookshelf keeps surviving your whole personality, William.

If the truth sounds rude, that’s only because the lie had better furniture.
